In February of 2018, we began collaborating on a pilot project Bible translation in Central Asia with American Bible Society to further test our software and its capability. For security reasons, we cannot discuss the exact location of this project. The language group has almost 10 million speakers. Over 70% of the population is Muslim, and 26% are Christians – mostly Russian Orthodox. There are several other existing Bible translations, but the Evangelical church there finds them inadequate or unreliable for different reasons.
Current Status (November 2018) We set up the software system and trained the translators in July. Translation began with the Gospel of John, which they completed in about two months. Their translation is being reviewed by a translation consultant and the local church community for accuracy.
